Hailing
from Eagle River, Alaska, Joslin is one of the few
Buckeyes whose high school offered varsity girls
hockey. Joslin earned three varsity letters at
Chugiak High and served her teammates as assistant
captain in ’03-’04 and captain in ’04-’05. Starting
competitive play at age 8, Joslin matriculated
through the AK Firebirds travel association and
continued with that program, all the way to the U19
level, while playing high school hockey, too. Like
current Buckeye Taylor Davidson, Joslin represented
her country on a regional select team that toured
and competed in Europe.
In addition to hockey,
Joslin earned letters from the Chugiak rifle and
cross country teams. She was active in NJROTC and
the Positive Action Committee. Academically, Joslin
was a National Honor Society member and in the
Spring of ’05 was awarded a full ROTC scholarship to
Ohio State. After the completion of her freshman
year, Joslin is a Security and Intelligence major
and participates in NROTC.
Personal
Joslin’s parents are Dave and Rita
Joslin.
