Season Notes

Head club coach since Dec. '02. In that time, the team has amassed a 65-67-7 cumulative record.  In '04, led Ohio State's efforts to re-associate with the Central Collegiate Women's Hockey Association (CCWHA) and it's successful admittance into the national American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA.)  Since joining the ACHA in '04-'05, participated as both an ACHA Competition Committee Member and ACHA Ranking Committee Member.  Has coached 3 ACHA All-Americans, 9 ACHA Academic All-Americans, 8 All-CCWHA players, and 1 CCWHA MVP.  Team finished 3rd in CCWHA Tournament in '05, 4th in '06, 1st in '07, and 7th in '08.  Finished 15th nationally in ACHA in '05, 12th in '06, 11th in '07, and 13th in '08.  Have been ranked in ACHA top 15 last 14 consecutive ranking periods.  Was a '05 ACHA Coach of the Year finalist.  In addition to serving as head coach, Cunningham oversees team fundraising efforts, recruiting, and serves as Director of the all-girls Buckeye Ice Breaker Hockey Tournament, held annually each September in Columbus.

Originally from Lowell, IN, having graduated in '91. While at Lowell participated both in football and track. 

Went on to Wabash College in Crawfordsville, IN, graduating in '95. Participated in varsity football (NCAA Div. III), having lettered 3 years. Wabash fielded outstanding teams during that period ('91-'94), accumulating 3 conference championships, a 19-4-1 conference record, and 3 top 25 rankings.

Hockey has been a life-long pursuit for Coach Cunningham, having played as a youth and while Wabash College in the school's now defunct Wabash Hockey Club.  Still plays avidly today in Columbus area Chiller/Blue Jackets recreational leagues.

Personal

Currently resides in Columbus. Wife Kim is a nurse at Riverside hospital.  Son Lucas is 4 years old and daughter Libby is 2.
